Our approach to healing

Trauma, eating disorders, and other mental challenges rob you of your ability to know and trust yourself, others, and your environment.

It’s a complete disruption of the natural state of order.

We seek to target healing from every angle- cognitive, emotional, body-based, and brain-based, while guiding you in reclaiming yourself in your living environment.

Talk Therapy

Talk therapy is the foundation for everything- in the office, outdoors, or in the comfort of your home across a screen. We use a parts-based, Internal Family Systems and Gestalt approach with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to get a sense of the big picture while dealing with what’s happening in the here and now. We have a strong focus on how your attachment and childhood experiences have influenced your current challenges.

Brain + Somatic Modalities

Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms through your eye positions. It is a somatic practice that helps clear nervous system stress from the body.

EMDR is a trauma treatment method that works by using eye movement to identify and release trauma from the body.

Somatic Experiencing is a modality that focuses on treating trauma by focusing on the nervous system first.

Ecotherapy

Ecotherapy is the practice of incorporating nature into a therapy session. Nature is part of the treatment, and we implement it through conducting our sessions outdoors, interpreting symbols, and using our environment to feel safe and connect.
